William Wittman is a Grammy Award winning independent Producer/Engineer/Musician/Songwriter based in New York.

He began his career as a musician and moved from there into work as a studio engineer and producer.

He held the position of Chief Engineer at several major recording studios.

As Producer and Engineer his credits include the multi–platinum debuts from Cyndi Lauper, Joan Osborne, the Hooters, and The Outfield.

His success as an independent producer lead to several years as an A&R Vice President and Staff Producer at two major record labels (Sony/Columbia and BMG/RCA).

As a musician, he has appeared on nationally televised shows including The Late Show with David Letterman, the Rosie O’Donnell Show, CBS Late Late Show, Ellen Degeneres, the NBC Christmas Tree Lighting Special, and New Year’s Eve in Times Square.

He has also played and sang with many of the artistes he has recorded and was a member of alternative rock band Too Much Joy (Giant/Discovery/Sire Records). He now plays bass guitar in the Cyndi Lauper Band, recording and touring internationally, and also serves as the Musical Director.

William’s experience and innate musicality has enabled him to work successfully with artistes of many different genres.

William believes strongly in the value that an experienced producer/engineer can bring to any project; whether it’s arrangement ideas, the technical expertise to allow any idea to be fully realized, or just an objective sounding board.

The right producer/engineer helps the artiste achieve his vision in a more complete, timely, effective manner.

William is always happy to accept submissions from new artistes and upcoming bands.

Please feel free to contact him to discuss your projects.
